PHARMACY COMMUNITY CARE LIAISON GROUP
The Pharmacy Community Care Liaison Group was established in 1990 to advise
Regional Pharmaceutical Officers on Community Care and interface issues.
The appointed members include experienced pharmacy practitioners from a variety of backgrounds
including community, academia, hospital, health authority, mental health and NHS Executive.
Following the NHS restructuring, the Group now has links with the RPSGB and Department of
Health.
The group's objectives are:
- To devise and promulgate a strategic framework to enable pharmaceutical services to
meet the needs of people in the community
- To produce information to help professionals develop their own local policy
- To support the charge management process in the move towards primary care
has continued to meet and advise the Regional Pharmaceutical Advisors
